How Carease works and the terms that apply to your sale.

1. Who we are

Carease is a car selling service operated by Carhorizon GmbH, Hauptstrasse 93, 2563 Ipsach, Switzerland. By using the website or our services, you accept these terms. For questions, contact info@carease.ch.

2. Our service

You remain the seller of your car and Carease handles the sale for you. We inspect the vehicle at one of our locations, compare it with the Swiss market and agree on the price with you before publishing the listing.

You keep your car and continue driving while we take the photos, publish the listing on AutoScout24 and our sales channels, answer buyers, arrange viewings around your availability, negotiate and prepare the paperwork and payment.

3. Selling price

Any price indication is based on Swiss market data, our inspection and the information provided. The price is agreed with you before publication and can only be changed with your approval. A price indication does not guarantee a sale at that amount or within a particular time.

4. Your responsibilities

You confirm that you own the vehicle or are duly authorised to sell it. The information provided must be accurate. The vehicle must not have any undisclosed third-party rights, damage or legal issues. Inaccurate information may lead to a revised offer or cancellation of the sale.

5. Viewings and ending the sale

Viewings are arranged with you and are free. You may reschedule or decline them and stop the sale at any time without fees, subject to the obligations in your agreement concerning a buyer introduced by Carease.

6. Sale, payment and transfer

After the sale and receipt of the buyer’s payment, your proceeds are transferred to your bank account within five days. We prepare the contract and coordinate the transfer with the buyer. You are responsible for deregistering the vehicle after the sale.

7. Pricing and commission

Listing your car is free, with no upfront payment or subscription. Our fee is 5% of the final selling price, with a minimum of CHF 990, and is only due if the vehicle is sold through Carease.

The fee is deducted from the sale proceeds. You receive the selling price less this fee and any other agreed amounts. The fee and your net proceeds are presented to you before the listing is published.

8. Liability

Carease provides its services with reasonably expected care. To the extent permitted by Swiss law, liability for indirect or consequential loss is excluded. Any liability that cannot legally be excluded remains applicable.

9. Intellectual property

The Carease brand, website, design and content are protected by intellectual property rights and may not be copied or reused without our written permission.

10. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms as the service evolves. The current version appears on this page with its update date. Significant changes are communicated where reasonably possible.

11. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The courts of Biel/Bienne, Switzerland, have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules.
