Your questions
How it works, what it costs and the steps to selling your car.
Pricing and fees
We compare your car with similar models on the Swiss market, then agree on the price with you before publishing the listing.
Our fee is only due if your car is sold and is deducted from the proceeds at 5% of the selling price, with a minimum of CHF 990.
For a sale at CHF 30’000, you receive CHF 28’500 after our fee, before repaying any finance or other deductions agreed with you.

During the sale
Yes, you keep driving until your car is sold and we arrange viewings around your availability.
We create your listing and follow up with buyers. Let us know if your car’s details change so we can keep the listing up to date.
We may suggest an adjustment based on the market and buyer feedback, but the price only changes with your approval.
The time needed depends on the model, price and buyer demand, so we don’t guarantee a sale date.
Let us know about any damage or repairs so we can update the listing and photos and give buyers accurate information.
We speak with buyers and arrange viewings with you. You show them the car and we support you through the negotiation and the rest of the sale.
Payment and paperwork
We transfer the sale proceeds, less our fee, to your bank account within five days of receiving the buyer’s payment.
Keep your car registered until the sale and payment, then arrange its deregistration before handing it over to the buyer.
We prepare the sales contract and arrange the handover with you, while you take care of deregistering the car.
About the service
Your listing is published on AutoScout24 and shared with our buyer network.
Private buyers and selected Swiss professionals can buy your car. You remain the seller while we handle enquiries and negotiations.
You can end the agreement, but our fee remains due if you sell to a buyer introduced by Carease during the agreement or in the following six months.
